Dreadnought Wenhaston

This  stylish cottage has recently been refurbished throughout to a high standard. Dreadnought retains much of its character with exposed beams and traditional latch doors, but with all the modern conveniences for a comfortable stay. Beautifully presented and with a large kitchen/breakfast room and separate dining room, a light and airy sitting room with log burner, Dreadnought is spacious but with all the cosy charm of a traditional Suffolk cottage. There is an enclosed courtyard garden - a lovely private spot to sit out in the warmer months - ample parking for two cars and lockable storage for bikes. With the choice of a king sized bedroom a double and a single, Dreadnought offers a very flexible option for couples or families (not suitable for toddlers).

Our third visit to this beautiful cottage in amazing weather except for the easterly! thank you so much.. We went to the Methodist chapel on Sunday and met some lovely people, everyone so friendly.  Fish and chips every day! Thank you.

We had a great holiday in Suffolk, the weather was amazing and found lots of lovely places to visit. The cottage was a great place to stay, and it was lovely to chill out after a hot day! Everything we needed. Also, very well priced! What a busy little village, with all manner of transport going past! Very handy to have the post office and bottle bank all be it very full🤣 We visited the church with its amazing Doom painting. Thanks for the goodies. The week went far too quickly We will hopefully come again in the future. TW August 2022

A lovely third stay - the week has flown past.  Weather has been brilliant, so we have enjoyed Southwold beach a few times, lovely meals at local pubs and enjoyed the ice-cream at Southwold too.  Also smoked fish from 'Ash' at Aldeburgh.  Cottage was homely and comfortable as always.  We will return. Pub: The Star Inn and Blyford Queens Head are ten minutes walk away, both well known for Adnams ales and relaxed meals in the garden.

Shop: There is a grocery shop at the end of the village about twenty minutes walk away. More shops in Halesworth and Southwold, a ten minute drive away.

Beach: Southwold is ten minutes drive away, also Walberswick and Dunwich. Just further are Thorpeness and Aldeburgh, or you could head north to Covehithe.
