About Dolphin's Cottage

Dolphin’s Cottage is a picturesque weather-boarded Suffolk bungalow. It has been lovingly renovated, decorated and refurbished in 2006/7.

The cottage has an open-plan kitchen, living area and dining area, decorated in simple Shaker style. There are stripped wooden floors with rugs on top throughout the cottage.

The open-plan area offers uninterrupted views to the front of the cottage over peaceful countryside where there are delightful walks at Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Church Farm and Blackheath.

There's a charming enclosed garden to the rear, with access through a pretty French style porch.

Accommodation

The living area has an open fireplace, and there is oil fired central heating. It includes one comfortable, brand new three-seater sofa and two armchairs (sofa workshop 2007) and B&0, TV. There is also a radio and CD player.

Kitchen - The contemporary Kitchen area is fully equipped. The cooker, dishwasher, double stainless steel sink, birch wood units and fridge are new. Note: There is no washing machine at the cottage.

Dining area - seats up to 6 people comfortably with views to the front of the cottage. The Welsh dresser with colourful china is just one of the many homely features of the cottage.

Two double bedrooms with wardrobes

Bedroom/playroom - containing a single bed and a child-sized bed. (3.5 feet). The room is equipped with table football, darts, board games, books, dolls prams etc.

Bathroom - The cottage has one bathroom with toilet, sink, bath, shower facilities, and airing cupboard, all also newly renovated and decorated.

Facilities

The garden has a swing and children’s sandpit. It is safe and child friendly. A gate separating the front and back access provides extra safety for children.

There is off-road parking for two cars at the front of the cottage

The cottage will be particularly suitable for couples (2 couples could comfortably visit) or a family.

Brand new duvets and pillows are provided for each bed, but bedlinen is not included. Please bring your own sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels.

“Dolphin Cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all without being isolated. So easy to get to but off the beaten track. So cosy, characterful and comfortable with tasteful modern facilities. There’s enough room for a family to stay without being on top of each other. One of the loveliest walks across the water meadows to the local pub - totally peaceful. An easy drive to local shops and small towns but very little passing traffic. We love it here.”
