About September Cottage

September Cottage is a traditional brick/ flint cottage believed to date back to the late 1700s. It is set in the heart of the village opposite St Peter’s church, famous for its Doom painting.

The cottage was thoroughly restored in 2005 and refurbished to a high specification in keeping with the period, retaining the charm and character of many original features yet with a contemporary touch and the benefit of modern appliances.

The rear cottage garden is a tranquil setting with old sleeper steps leading to a lawned area complete with patio table and chairs with gas barbecue and secured shed for cycles.
The garden has access to a footpath leading to Church Common, ideal for those wonderful country walks across the Blyth Valley.

Guest Comments

"Just to say thank you! We had a wonderful few days in Suffolk exploring a part of the country that we did not know well. The cottage was extremely comfortable and you and John both wonderfully welcoming. I hope that we can return some time soon. Sadly we now all have to go back to work." GC
