About Gable Cottage

Gable cottage in the village of Bramfield, was once three 18th century cottages which were combined into one spacious home in the early part of the 20th century. Recent comprehensive refurbishment means that you can enjoy the comforts of modern living yet with original features like exposed beams and traditional Suffolk latch doors.

You breakfast in the sunny cottage kitchen or in the tranquil and private walled garden. Take your time to ponder what to do that day - will it be exploring the nearby Suffolk Heritage Coast, maybe shopping in the delightful market town of Halesworth a few miles away, visiting the wonderful RSPB Minsmere nature reserve, perhaps enjoying a local cultural festival, not forgetting the historic village of Bramfield itself with its stunning thatched church?

In the evening you can sink into a sofa in the large living room to listen to music or watch TV/DVD, or you can pop over the road to the centuries-old, award-winning Queen's Head pub.

If you want modern communication, log into wifi; for the more traditional, put some logs into the wood burner, stretch out on the large rug and enjoy a fireside conversation.

Guest Comments

"Thank you for all your help in making our booking and weekend so lovely. The cottage was beautiful, even nicer than I imagined and very spacious for the 6 of us. It is somewhere we would definitely recommend and the surrounding area was beautiful, even more so when covered in snow." - CP Dec 2011
