About 8 Hill Cottages

8 Hill Cottages is a traditional timber framed cottage built circa 1750 and extended between the wars. It retains many original features including oak beams, wattle and daub walls and a bread oven. Situated in the village of Bramfield with its unusual church with separate round tower, an award winning pub, an outstanding family butchers and a local shop all in easy walking distance of the cottage. Bramfield is an ideal location for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast and is within easy reach of Southwold, Walberswick, Minsmere RSPB reserve and the National Trust at Dunwich

This pretty, beamed room has solid wood flooring and is furnished with two sofas arranged around a large open fireplace. There is a dining area to one side. 26in Flat screen TV/ DVD and DAB Radio with iPod dock.

Bedroom 1
Pretty double room, fully carpeted with beamed walls and ceiling, furnished with double bedstead and good-quality sprung mattress. Chest of drawers, wardrobe and bedside tables. Views over front garden and open fields.

Bedroom 2
Twin bedroom, fully carpeted and furnished with two single beds with quality sprung mattresses, Chest of drawers. Spectacular views over open farmland.

Bathroom
Large bathroom with vinyl flooring, WC, basin, bath and separate shower.

Garden
The front garden is enclosed with newly planted shrubs and a small gravel area with seating. Small rear enclosed garden with views over farmland. Garden table and chairs. A perfect location to admire Suffolk sunsets.

There is a small shed in the parking area where visitors to nos 8 and 9 may store bicycles securely. Here they will also find available a barbecue, deck chairs, wind break, bucket & spades, crabbing line and beach mats etc which they may make use of during their stay.

Oil-fired central heating throughout and an open fire. Basket of Logs supplied for winter breaks.

Each bed has a duvet and additional blanket/throw. Quality bed linen and towels supplied and changed weekly for longer stays.

Additional information

Nos 8 and 9 Hill Cottages are also available to let together, making them ideal for larger groups. There is a £40 discount off total price when booked together

The dining table in No 8 extends and there are additional chairs as well as plenty of crockery and glasses for up to 8 people dining together.

Typical of a cottage of this age the sitting room has a low beamed ceiling about 6ft ( 183cm) to the bottom of the beams.
