About 2 Lorne Cottages

A delightful Victorian cottage which sleeps four (plus cot), completely refurbished in 2006 to a very high standard.

The cottage overlooks the Village Green with its children’s swings and slide. The sea is two minutes' walk away, as are the Bell Inn and Anchor Hotel. The village shop is five minutes' walk away. The cottage has stunning views of Southwold to the north and the sea to the south.

Walberswick is an ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast – Minsmere, Aldeburgh, Snape and Sutton Hoo are to the south. Southwold can be reached by ferry (in season) or by bicycle over the Bailey Bridge, but by road it is a 15-minute drive. Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are a 40 minute drive away.

One dog allowed by arrangement.

Accommodation

Ground Floor

Newly fitted Kitchen/Dining area with new Suffolk Elm refectory table. Electric hob and oven. Dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, fridge. French doors to rear garden with sitting area, flowers and herb garden.

Sitting Room with log burning stove (logs included), colour TV with DVD.

Cloakroom with wc and washbasin.


First Floor
Master Bedroom (views of the Green and the sea) with double bed and space for a travel cot.
Second Bedroom (views of the marshes and Southwold) with twin beds.
Family Bathroom with bath, washbasin and wc.


Outside
Front garden: sitting area, overlooking the Green.
Rear garden: with small vegetable and herb garden.

Facilities

All appliances are new for 2006.
Duvets and pillows are provided but please bring your own bed linen and towels.
Central heating and hot water are fuelled by electricity which is included in weekly rental price.
Roadside parking for one car.
You will find a local information folder with what's on locally, useful phone numbers and an OS map in the property


Guest Comments

"We stayed in August and had a lovely comfortable relaxing time. Our children could happily play on the swings just outside the cottage. It was no problem to grab our nets and go crabbing, or take our buckets to the beach for a castle competition, then paddle.We will certainly be coming back to stay."
